Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) announces the fifth series of the Lord’s Dining Club

Wednesday, August 16, 2023 - 09:45

Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is delighted to announce the fifth series of its premium dining experience, Lord’s Dining Club, which will see two of the country’s most exciting Michelin-starred chefs taking over the famous Long Room in the Lord’s Pavilion.

Launched in 2018 to honour the age-old traditions of MCC with innovative cooking from world-renowned Michelin-starred chefs, Lord’s Dining Club has gone from strength to strength in recent years and the Club can now reveal the next two dates and the chefs who will star at the Home of Cricket.

Kicking off the series on Tuesday 17 October is twice Michelin starred chef Gareth Ward, whose restaurant, Ynyshir in Powys, Wales, was recently named as the UK’s best restaurant for a second successive year at the National Restaurant Awards. After being awarded as the GQ Chef of the Year in 2023, Gareth is undoubtedly one of the hottest names in the UK’s fine dining industry.

Aktar Islam, whose Birmingham restaurant, Opheem, became the first Indian restaurant outside of London to win a Michelin star, will bring his innovative techniques to Lord’s on Tuesday 27 February 2024. After making his name as a winner of Gordon Ramsay’s F Word in 2010, Aktar went on to win series six of the BBC series, Great British Menu, and has regularly featured as both a judge and mentor on Masterchef: The Professionals.
